2016-04-23 Pender Island - Bridges Rd. 15ft. Great explanation by Jonathan Martin "It's an English sole. Note the highly visible lateral line without a pronounced arch. Lateral line isn't visible to the same extent on the CO sole. The CO also has a more rounded body, whereas the English sole has this more narrow shape. You can almost never use colours to identify flatfish of any type, as they have chromatophores in their skin which allow changing colours."
