May 11. This morning I found the branches over top of the nest disturbed and the nest completely empty. There was nothing to be seen around the nest. The parents were still hanging out in nearby trees.
I speculate that either Crow, Racoon, Mink or Raven have done this.
It is a bit sad, but unfortunately this is how nature works, and I bet this pair of Towhees will have another brood.
